HP DesignJet cutter gears: CQ890-67108 and T830 comparison
Two cutter-gear listings mention the HP DesignJet T830. Choose by the cutter assembly and original gear profile as well as the printer model; the shared model name does not make the gears interchangeable.
Assembly reference and individual gear are different
CQ890-67108 identifies the cutter assembly used as the reference for one replacement internal gear. That listing supplies the gear, not a complete cutter assembly. Its matching instructions say to reuse the original bearing.
The CQ890-67108 listing also names T120, T125, T130, T520, T525, T530, T730 and T830 printers. Check the installed cutter assembly and compare its original gear before ordering.
Check for the T830 membrane version
The separate T830 cutter spur-gear listing has a thin membrane. Compare the membrane, bearing seat, bore and tooth profile with your original component. Use the original product and measurement photographs, including the second product view.
If the original gear does not match the pictured design, send photographs for a fit check. Do not choose solely because both listings include T830 in their descriptions.
Compare the bearing and shaft interface
Photograph both faces and the side of the removed gear. Check the bearing seat, overall width, hub shape and shaft opening against the measurements shown on the product page. Preserve the original bearing and mounting hardware where the listing instructs you to reuse them.
A cutter fault can involve more than one component. Identify the damaged part with the printer’s service instructions before assuming a replacement gear will resolve the fault.
